BioHowdy, folks. Name's Jimmy Hickok. And it AIN'T Wild Bill. I don't care what that no-good writer Marcus has ta say about it. That guy ain't me.
Been riding for the Pony Express out here in Rock Creek for Russell, Majors and Waddell. Workin' for a guy named Teaspoon Hunter. He's the sheriff here, too and he's about the best man I ever knew. He's smart about a lotta things that I ain't, and he's always there to tell me when I'm wrong. Even if I don't wanna hear it a lot of times. He calls me a hothead and I guess it's true. I'd guess he probably knows me better than anyone, well... except maybe Lou, but that's different.
My daddy worked in the abolitionist movement, though I can't say as I'm a big supporter of him; I understand what he was fighting for. I just wish he'd have been better to my momma. She was a great lady and had a hard time takin' care of us kids. I got two sisters, both of 'em good women. I guess I been lucky that way. Almost all the women I been around in my life have been good, strong women. Maybe I'm crazy, but I just ain't one o' those men who likes a woman ta stand around and do nothin'. But I been lucky, like I said. I mean, really... Rachel, Emma, my sisters, Lou... they're all strong and they hold their own. Anyways... I got 4 brothers, too, though I don't really speak with none of 'em. 'Cept Alonzo. He's a sharp kid. Way better than I'll ever hope ta be.
Aw hell, I feel like Cody ramblin' on like this. That's all I got ta say.

ooc: This journal is for purposes of RP only. I am not Josh Brolin, nor do I claim to be Wild Bill Hickok. I don't own the character, the show, or anything related to it. Believe me, I wish I did. I'm not making money off of this, and I don't ever intend to. This journal represents the character of Jimmy Hickok, played by Josh Brolin on the televsion show, Young Riders. The show was not perfectly accurate, historically speaking, and this journal will likely be the same way. I will do my best to keep it accurate, but there were SL's in the show that were established that weren't always historically accurate.
That being said, THIS version is James Butler Hickok is canon for the show. He's about 24 years old, and has only recently picked up the name of 'Wild Bill'.
